ICRI in Romania

Example of ICRI's projects in Romania:

• Knowledge Exchange Project: ICRI was invited by community activists and the Municipality of Lach to develop a knowledge exchange program between ICRI Europe and Lach on HIV/AIDS protocols for young children in group-care programs (child-care programs, group homes, etc.). Funded by the Children's Stamps Foundation of the Netherlands, a group of approximately 30 European HIV/AIDS experts, doctors and early childhood experts traveled to Lach and an equal number of Romanian leaders traveled to ICRI Europe and the Southern Netherlands and Belgium. The impact of the program was new child AIDS protocols to allow Romanian children with HIV/AIDS into early care programs for the first time.
